I was drifting in and out of consciousness on cold pavement, bleeding heavily from the right side of my face.
Piercing pain from a crushed eye socket and internal bleeding in my brain, kidney, and spleen surged through my body.

A shattered scapula and three broken ribs left me fighting for shallow breaths.
My jaw was split at the chin and torn from my skull on the left side, hanging loose like a broken hinge.

I was bleeding out—gurgling in my own blood.
Lifeless. In shock. Hovering at the edge of death.

I fought for every breath.
And with nothing left, I prayed for God to give me another chance.

That’s when I left my body.
And met Him.
